For Antonin Artaud vzw in Koolmijngraversstraat, Sint-Jans-Molenbeek, the project transforms an existing front house and rear building into assisted housing and mobile workspace.

Located on a long plot bordering the Kleine Zenne park, the site was previously fully built up despite its depth. The proposal introduces a large outdoor space between the two volumes, bringing daylight into the centre of the plot. This new space will become a small urban garden, reconnecting the house with the rear building.

The assisted housing consists of compact, through-units with two orientations. To maximise the available living space, circulation is moved outside and organised around shared terraces. A sculptural staircase structures the urban garden while ensuring privacy for the individual units.

The rear building focuses on the reuse of its existing structure. Positioned between the urban garden and the Kleine Zenne park, the new workspace benefits from new openings that bring daylight into the space and connect both outdoor areas.
