In collaboration with Burobill, we won a competition organized by the municipality of Koekelberg in partnership with the Brussels Bouwmeester to design a new nursery for 56 children. The project combines the nursery with a public green garden on a vacant plot along Avenue Jean Jacquet.

A shift in the plan creates a front garden on the street with a wide entrance leading into the main garden. This entrance also provides access to the building and the multifunctional space on the ground floor. This large space can be used as a community house for events outside nursery hours. The upper levels house four living groups, each with direct access to private terraces overlooking the garden. Their open-plan layouts allow natural light to enter from both sides. A central core ensures efficient circulation, while the top floor accommodates staff facilities with a private outdoor area.
