dental practice, bruges

On the ground floor of an apartment building, a former commercial space was transformed into Tandkliniek Brugge, a group dental practice. The main challenge was to unite four individual dental practices into a cohesive and dynamic whole. To achieve this, the layout was organized around a double circulation system.
The first circulation route, intended for patients, is more public and runs through the center of the practice. Large, opaque doors, aligned with the rhythm of the interior walls, provide access to each of the four treatment rooms. The second circulation route is more discreet, designed for the dentists. It features smaller, glass sliding doors located along the edges of the layout, allowing staff to move directly between treatment rooms, cleaning areas, the front desk, and private spaces without using the main patient corridor. To enhance the sense of openness and connection, fixed glass panels were installed above all interior walls. These allow natural light to flow throughout the practice, reaching deep into the space and visually linking the rooms.
The entire layout is fixed on a modular grid with a cross-shaped joinery detail as its base. The space is painted entirely white to create a visually calm atmosphere, with walnut accents adding contrast and warmth.
