In collaboration with Zampone Architectuur, we won a competition organized by the municipality of Schaerbeek, in partnership with the Brussels Bouwmeester, to transform a former car garage into a nursery for 50 children.

The design aims to reuse the building’s strong concrete frame but removes the roof in two places, creating two large patios. In these patios, the existing concrete porches feel almost like sculptures. Inside the building, the layout of the nursery is adapted to the existing structure and transformed into a functional daycare using freestanding cabinets and glass walls, thoughtfully placed throughout the space.
